Eric Dier’s injury problems continued on Friday night as the Tottenham Hotspur midfielder had to be replaced in the 17th minute of England’s 5-0 win over Czech Republic.
Dier was given the nod in the middle of the park for the Euro 2020 qualifier, but appeared to feel his hip in a challenge before being forced to leave the field.
It has been a very frustrating period for the 25-year-old, who has only played 16 Premier League matches for Tottenham this season.
Indeed, the midfielder missed a chunk of football around Christmas due to an appendix operation, whilst he has been struggling with illness in recent weeks.
Dier did play the full 90 minutes of Tottenham’s 2-1 defeat at Southampton earlier this month, but could now be facing another period on the sidelines.
The Tottenham fans, as expected, have been left incredibly frustrated with the latest issue which could force the former Sporting Lisbon youngster to miss more action.
